2010 release. “November” is guitarist Dominic Miller’s 5th solo release to date (7th overall). Miller ventures into new territory with “November”, renewing his relationship with the electric guitar, eliminating vocals entirely, and unplugging all of his fancy studio gear. The CD includes 11 tracks of guitar-driven instrumentals; the players backing Miller include drummer, Ian Thomas, bassist Mark King and keyboardist Mike Lindup (Level 42), pianist Yaron Herman, flautist Dave Heath, saxophonist Stan Salzmann & keyboardist, Jason Rebello (Jeff Beck). With these devoted sidemen to back him up, Miller created an instrumental album that presents all kinds of unexpected turns, stylistic variations and distinctly innovative sound combinations including rock, new age, lounge music, soundscapes, funk , classical and jazz fusion. Brilliant production by the one and only Hugh Padgham along with Dominic Miller. Highly recommended!!!
