Own compositions, played cast and rare guests. Martin Uherek recorded an album, which is a tribute to his jazz role model. "I was thinking of a recording concept that would fit me. That's when I decided on the name Walkin 'My Own Way. I want to show people who I am. I am known for loving the jazz tradition. I didn't have the desire to create something of my own, but with my musical growth came the tendency to create something really mine, "Martin Uherek describes the origin of the recording. Teammates from the Pianoless trio, double bassist Peter Korman and drummer Pavol Blaho are also present at Uherek's debut. Three exceptional guests also accepted the invitation to record: pianist Klaudius Kováč, trumpet player Juraj Bartoš and saxophonist Radovan Tariška. Representatives of the domestic jazz leader confirm that Martin Uherek is a genre talent with potential. The album Walkin 'My Own Way was released at the end of this summer in Banská Bystrica. It is already clear from his name that Martin Uherek decided to record his debut, which would capture his musical personality. Each of the compositions is based on a certain period of the musician's artistic journey. There is no compliment to the jazz greats or an indication of the direction that the saxophonist and composer will take in the near future.
