Anna Maria Castelli is an Italian singer and actress, born in Naples in 1969. She started her career as a jazz vocalist in the mid-90s, besides spending time in the theater (including music), writing songs; was the only Italian artist invited to the festival in Montreux two years in a row, participated in the festival of Mediterranean countries in Bari, where she received the Portovenere award for best female vocals. In 2002, Castelli was awarded the European Music award for the production of "Opera tango" accompanied by the Uruguayan bandoneonist X. Pasarelli, also Anna Maria is the winner of the Academic award for the soundtrack to the film Il Postino. The singer has toured more than 40 countries, including Russia, and worked with Giorgio Gaslini, Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra, Luis Bacalov, and others. Recorded four albums, the first "Something to Remember" received excellent press, largely thanks to a pair of excellent accompanists - musicians of the older generation - the excellent pianist Renato Sellani and accordionist Gianni Coscia, known for several records on ESM. Castelli was awarded the order of merit of the Italian Republic for her artistic achievements; she lives in Switzerland.
