This is the first album by the somewhat unknown vocalist Joan Steele. Strongly influenced by Howard Hanson as well as her favorite composers Delius and Vaughan Williams, she sings and plays piano on this album joined by bassist Leroy Vinegar and drummer Tom Alberino. The CD also features Steele performing a few solo pieces.
