This is the amazing debut CD of artist Linda Calise, "la Vie" is a compilation of songs from the American Songbook with a French Flavor featuring a stunning version of La Vie En Rose.

La Vie is a compilation of favorite Songs of the Artist, the album has a real french flair to it but most of the material is straight from the American Songbook. The title track of "La Vie En Rose" features Jazz violinist Ben Powell (Calise is featured vocalist on Powells latest CD "New Street", along with Gary Burton and Julian Lage). Several of the Tracks including" La Vie En Rose", "I Wish You Love", "Good Morning Heartache" and "Since I Fell For You" were arranged by Producer Joe Carrier, featuring lush strings recorded at WGBH Fraser Hall in Boston MA. On a personal note, Calise's Father is from the Montreal area in Quebec Canada and "La Vie" was recorded in memory of Calise's Mother, who used to sing the song to her in french as a child.
