Akira Ishikawa, a drummer who played a part in the development of jazz rock in Japan. Although many works have been left, the 70th recording, Baximba: Memories of Africa, has a special presence due to its content and rarity. With the help of up-and-coming musicians such as Hiromasa Suzuki, Norio Maeda, Ken Muraoka and Kiyo Sugimoto, he pursued "Africa" which was the theme of his life. The disturbing drums and percussion splendidly connect jazz rock and Africa, creating a groove with a scale that is unparalleled. Contains 7 newly written songs, including a beautiful "Hinode", a lively "African deer", a primitive and aggressive "Baximba", and a "Mirage" where blood rushes into the speed. A masterpiece suitable for being one of Ishikawa's masterpieces.
