Keepin’ It Real is the latest Smooth Jazz CD put out by the very talented piano playing Joe Mcbride who once again has delivered a brilliant collection of tracks. I’m confident Joe Mcbride fans, and Smooth Jazz fans alike will be pleased with this one.
Refreshingly, this was one of those CDs I was able to just pop in and comfortably listen to from beginning to end. Every track is enjoyable and was pretty easy for me to listen to from start to finish.
Smooth Jazz music fans will recognize some of the well known guests that have been assembled to play along with Mcbride on several of the tracks.
Overall Keepin’ It Real is a solid release. Quite possibly Joe Mcbride's best to date. Really sensational from beginning to end. If you're even mildly into Smooth Jazz music you'll enjoy this CD.
While this entire CD is really very good the truly standout tracks are Woke Up This Morning [track 1], Never Let You Go [track 6], and Morning In A Distant Land [track 7].
My SmoothLee Bonus Pick, and the one that got Sore ...as in "Stuck On REpeat" is track 9, When You Smile. Good stuff!
