VA - Tales From Jura (2020)

Isle Of Jura started in 2016 with the simple idea of focusing on high quality officially licensed reissues of hard to find and currently unavailable records. There was no better release to start the adventure than ‘Fire In My Heart’ by Escape From New York, a highly sought after 12” with a mystical quality that summed up the creative outlook of the label. Musically Isle Of Jura is ultimately a reflection of my tastes and has an eclectic approach to output reviving music from a range of genres, you’ll find Dubby Downtempo Electronics, Belgian Nu Beat, Ethereal Deep House, Disco, Funk & Soul, French Pop, New Age Ambient and Reggae Disco.

The intention is really to bring joy to record buyers across the globe whilst giving the artists the recognition they deserve. All label artwork is by supremely talented Melbourne designer Bradley Pinkerton.

The current pandemic has heavily impacted record stores across the globe and the whole supply chain, so now feels like a good time to look back at the story so far with this compilation. Enjoy!
