In New York Benedictines as well as being a stable member of the trio of the late drummer Jimmy Cobb together with the pianist Tadataka Unno has collaborated with many other artists including Harold Mabern, Joe Magnarelli, Joe Farnsworth, Eric Reed, Eric Alexander and David Hazeltine.

The new album "Re: Connections" describes precisely the return and reconnection with Italy, and Benedettini chose two musicians as companions with whom he shared a large part of his initial career: the guitarist Marco Bovi and the pianist Nico Menci.
