In July 1995 The Rurals released their first EP on wax, the 'Space Funk EP', now 25 years later Andy Compton is still producing Rurals music, in fact 'Over the Hill' is his 40th album production!

When The Rurals started jamming back in '93 they never intended to be just a 'House Music' group, in fact a larger focus was on making Hip Hop grooves with a live band feeling.

These projects never saw the light of day, until now! We've compiled 2 albums of laid back grooves, written between 1994-2012, full of jazzy, dark and deep feelings!
Beware though, this is lo fi music! Mainly written on a analogue 8 track tape machine.

These albums were heavily influenced by the lush green Devonshire countryside and gods own natural herbs!
Here we managed to capture cosmic vibrations, a gift provided by the universe!

We feel these albums are the perfect way to celebrate a quarter century of releasing....enjoy!
