Oh Lazarus - Sailing (2020)

The music of Oh Lazarus is a blend of Old Time Music, Gospel, Delta Blues, Pre-War Folk, Trad Jazz and Gothic Americana with Punk / Busker attitude.

A resophonic guitar played with a bottleneck evokes American sceneries, the rhythm section deploys unusual percussions such as service bells, dishes, pans, cans, and a suitcase instead of the bass drum.

The lyrics are inspired by the American folk tradition collected by the ethno-musicologist Alan Lomax and by the rambling characters of John Steinbeck’s novels.
