British band formed in Italy in the late 1960's. Their history goes back to the originally all-Italian I Cameleonti and various other beat/rock bands, established as Sopworth Camel before becoming Camel, and later they kind of changed into the band that eventually became Frampton's Camel.

Great stuff. However this band has no connection with Sopwith Camel (San Francisco acid band formed 1965), Camel (British prog rockers formed in 1971) nor Frampton's Camel (formed to back Peter Frampton in 1973). All separate bands!! 4 Camels, if you like!
