The American band Tarbaby was originally from Tallahassee, Florida. It was formed in the early 1970s and was incredibly popular in its area. The musicians gained a lot of fans due to the fact that they developed their own style, which could be described in three words - new, raw, original. In April 1973, the February album was recorded at the Gear Fab Bullseye with the help of sound engineer Tom Markum. Most of the material, with the exception of two songs, was written by Brewster Banks and Patrick Muth. The song "Gotta Find Me A Woman" hit Top 20 in Panama City and Top 5 in Tallahassee. Following their success, Tarbaby was invited to perform with Eric Carmen and The Raspberries in Panama City. At the end of 1975, Tarbaby ceased to exist. Patrick Muth formed Crybaby (1976-1980) and in 1980 The Cove Hotel Band. Brewster Banks has released 8 albums under various names. Wally Knoelke is still a session drummer.
