Klaus-Dieter Mayer and his Swinging River Band initiated their connecting band project for the Remstalgartenschau. Even living in Lorch, where the geographical center of Rems is located, he has put together an ensemble of outstanding musicians. All biographically, musically, geographically located along the Rems, they let themselves be infected by his idea. Most live and work in the valley, in Schw. Gmünd, Bettringen, Waldstetten, Lorch, Winterbach, Korb, Waiblingen and Fellbach. Some, like Walter Lang, are regularly drawn to extensive tours to Japan or Australia.

The name of the band already shows the stylistic direction: music of the swing era at its best! A program in the spirit of great entertainers like Frank Sinatra and Tony Bennett and their musical grandchildren Michael Bublé, Roger Cicero and Harry Connick. Always with a good dose of high spirits, as shown by the arrangements specially written for this project by Eberhard Budziat, Tilman Jäger and Reinhold Uhl.

Musically, the “infinite garden” spans far and carries us swinging and grooving from the source to the sea and even further with “Fly me to the moon”. From Silcher to Sinatra, from Lorch to Las Vegas, from the Rems to the Mississippi.
