Encore," the third real Tempters album, the last album composed of the latter singles and unreleased songs of The Tempters, released on January 25, 1971 after the dissolution of The Tempters, is the only one not generally scavenged from by compilations. Which is a shame, because it's a good, interesting album, and a fitting send of to their career. Their tendency to focus on melodramatic tracks ( that emphasize an awful lot of wailing) rears its head a bit more here than on First, but is generally countered by some intriguing melodic ideas and arrangements.
