If you enjoy groups such as, Incognito, Brand New Heavies, The Rebirth, and Fertile Ground, this CD is for you!

While comparisons to Incognito and Brand New Heavies are inevitable, this new group from the U.K. has a distinctly original sound... Very cool. Cindy Mizelle, who fronts BGM, is a soul-stirring vocalist, and sells the lyrics compellingly on STORIES. The project is the essence of neo-soul...hip, sophisticated, groove-oriented, and this one is destined to be a classic. There are many flavors that you'll experience on this CD, and no doubt you'll enjoy the mellow Jazz/Funk on "Cast No Shadow," the alluring remake of the Prince tune, "Sometimes It Snows in April," and a side-trip into Hip Hop on "Set Me Free." The first Smooth Jazz radio single from STORIES is the instrumental version of the enticing "Don't Give Up Now," the only instrumental on the project by the way. The second single release to Smooth Jazz is a captivating tune called "Let it Flow (Sausalito Calling)," featuring a distinctly Latin vibe. Creative, soulful and moving... STORIES tells it like that. If you're looking for fresh and innovative, and you're a fan of smooth neo-soul artists like Incognito, Kem, Jill Scott, and Brand New Heavies, then you are definitely going to get into STORIES, the debut release from Black Gold Massive on Major Menace Entertainment. This story is just starting, so jump in now and be the first among your friends to discover the next big thing in smooth. ~ SANDY SHORE
