Lukáš Dittrich was born in Czech Republic. He belongs to one of the leading czech clarinetists and saxophonists. He is laureate of many national and international competitions including Leoš Janáček International Competition or representation of Czech Republic at the Eurovision Young Musicians 2010. After completing his studies at the Brno Conservatory he continued at Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Brno in bachelor and master’s degree program. Between the years 2012-2014 he was a clarinet player in the academy of Czech Philharmonic Orchestra. Since 2015 he is principal clarinetist of Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra. As a regular guest he also plays in orchestra Solistes Européens Luxembourg. He played under world renowned conductors like Valery Gergiev, Semyon Bychkov, Leonard Slatkin or Jiří Bělohlávek. In 2017 he co-operated with significant composer of contemporary music Krzysztof Penderecki at the Prague Spring International Festival.
Several times he has featured on Czech Television and Czech Radio broadcasts. As a soloist he has appeared with Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra, Brno Philharmonic Orchestra, Moravian Philharmonic Orchestra, West-Bohemian Symphony orchestra and with chamber orchestra Czech Virtuosi. He is also a member of chamber ensemble Trio Českého rozhlasu with which he focuses on promoting compositions by Czech composers. He plays in Europeans countries as well as in Asia.
Lukáš Dittrich is a multi-genre musician, not afraid to experiment with different musical genres. This is why he often works not only with classical musicians. He regularly cooperates with DJ Alegs, or creating his own projects in a style combining jazz, funk and electronic music. He also performed with jazz trumpet player Laco Deczi and his band Celula New York or with the Czech Philharmonic Jazz Band at Prague concert of Bobby McFerrin.
