No other band - that I know of - sounds like bob hund. Their jangly, sprawling indie pop together with Thomas Öberg's, umm, special vocals (that Skåne dialect of his...) and their naive (in the best sense of the word) lyrics is really unique. I'm really torn about this. On the one hand they have some songs that I truly love (the anthemic "Nu är det väl revolution på gång?" on Jag rear ut min själ! Allt ska bort!!, and "Istället för musik: förvirring" on Istället för musik: förvirring), on the other hand, sometimes they are too ... dissonant for my tastes.

So what about this album? Well, it's got some really good ones. The self-titled short instrumental "bob hund"; the anecdotal "Reinkarnerad exakt som förut" with its free-flow thought lyrics is a dreamy pop gem; "Nånting måste göras" is a high-speed, energetic punk-rocker, almost on par with the before-mentioned favourites of mine; and finally "Düsseldorf", the best track on the album - classic bob hund.
