personnel :

Richard Carr - violin
Bucky Pizzarelli - guitar

This is a difficult CD not to enjoy. Violinist Richard Carr and guitarist Bucky Pizzarelli perform a set of swing-oriented duets, mixing together standards and obscurities with a pair of Carr originals ("Strictly Business" and "St. Elsewhere"). The interplay between the duo is quite sympathetic, and the music is both melodic and moving. Highlights include "The Boulevard of Broken Dreams," "Star-Crossed Lovers," "Hit the Road to Dreamland," and "Crazy Rhythm."~Scott Yanow
