Stacey James began writing at age 7 with short stories and poetry which soon evolved into music. Needing a way to create the instrumentals to all her lyrics she started playing the keyboard which after has lead to the trumpet, acoustic ,electric & bass guitar, tenor sax, and fiddle as a few of her songwriting tools. Stacey began performing at various locations at age 14 within the local hip hop scene doing hooks on many songs with many emcees within Canada & The U.S , having her voice first distributed by FACTOR in 2008 . Looking to explore musically, Stacey joined band “GroovePort” as lead vocalist & songwriter for the funk/rock band and they grooved the local scene for awhile…

After the band had parted ways Stacey went on to find players for her own band “Stacey James Band”. Stacey James has been given the opportunity to share the stage & write with many, many artists throughout North America and Europe. She has many plans for the future with all projects she is currently involved in. As an active creator seeking her next adventure, she believes her journey is endless as she loves to grow, learn and create…
