Rising star releases his third album and first for Xtra Mile Recordings, 'Postcards From Ursa Minor', ahead of UK tour with Frank Turner. Rambling singer-songwriter Will Varley, who last year walked over 500 miles along England's south coast with a guitar on his back, releases his third album 'Postcards From Ursa Minor' via the UK's Xtra Mile Recordings. His last two received rave reviews from The Independent, fRoots & Q magazine. This coming November the 28 year old is to open for Frank Turner, who described Varley as "One the best singer-songwriters in the UK." His return from the walking tour saw tracks played on BBC Radio 2, 6 & XFM including mentions from Steve Lamacq, Communion Records show and Rob Da Bank. That summer saw Varley visit some of the country's finest music festivals, performing his fiery brand of contemporary folk songs from Kendal Calling to Cambridge Folk Festival and everywhere in between. Heading into 2015 Will Varley was named as one of Time Out's rising stars and during the summer he plays Bestival, Port Eliot Festival, Green Man and many more of the summer's finest music festivals. Varley's high energy live shows, which jump effortlessly from heartbreaking love songs to hilarious shaggy dog stories, are complimented by his self-made music videos that in turn have clocked up hundreds of thousands of views on Youtube and bought attention to his songs from all over the world. Q Magazine "Excellent... blew me away..." The Independent "Powerful, political and pertinent" 1883 Magazine "Treading the balance between humour and hurt, his lyrics are both original and eloquent" For fans of: Frank Turner, Passenger, Ed Sheeran, Beans On Toast, Ben Howard, Laura Marling
