Folk-rock: Rough, untamable and full of exuberant energy

After four years of touring and success, intense experiences on the road and their own festival at the Stelvio Pass, Mainfelt 2019 has sorted itself out and written songs. After a three-month lock-down shift, the band is now heading back on the road in autumn 2020 with a fresh programme and new album in their luggage

Uncompromisingly passionate and irresistibly eager to play are the guys around singer and guitarist Patrick Strobl, whose distinctive voice and stature so captivates people. What makes Mainfelt so special? They are absolutely contagious in their joy of life!

"Royal Rover" is the title of the current tour and the new album, which aptly describes the music and character of the quartet. The band does not deny their Americana roots, but a few new elements are added: Apart from the usual pithy framework of rattling banjo riffs and driving acoustic guitar, keyboard and piano sounds here and there also reveal delicately melancholic facets. But also on "Royal Rover" the songs flow into those irresistibly hymnic choruses, which are sung along by the fan community on both sides of the burner from the top of their voices. Listening to Mainfelt just makes you happy!
