Artie Norton is a singer-songwriter and guitar player with strong roots in classic rock and blues. He grew up on artists like The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Wilson Pickett, Albert Collins, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and experienced a musical and social coming of age when The Clash arrived. Artie played in various bands through the 1980s and 1990s, recording two CDs with his last band, Cletus, who developed a little following playing the clubs in New York's Greenwich Village and the New York metro area. He also laid down a few harmonica tracks for the New York based carnival rock band, Kablamachunk. Artie has long been compared to John Lennon for his vocal sound and has cultivated a song centered, rhythmic guitar playing style similar to that of Keith Richards. He can also be heard playing keyboards on several tracks on this record. This album represents his return to music making after many years dedicated to starting a family and building a career as a high school English teacher.
