The Calle Stenman Quintet - America, Oh America (2020)

America, Oh America is a collaboration between the Swedish jazz musicians Oskar Schönning and Calle Stenman. It is an experiment that fuses jazz with Americana. With the whole world watching this election year in the USA, Oskar and Calle wanted their music to do what their eyes already were doing. With their gaze turned to the land in the west, they let their music merge with these most American of American genres. The result is an LP where different worlds meet, collide, and mold into one. The album features the lyrics of Annika Norlin and Sara Parkman on vocals and violin.
