Marcin Pendowski, as a bass player and composer, uses cheesy communism-era and nowadays deemed as obsolete bass guitars, which are often referred to as komunobasy (commiebasses). Thanks to this, the bass sound on his Pendofsky solo album is extraordinary, fresh and contributes to a signature sound that the band has. The first album of Pendofsky has a special guest performing one of the songs – Rey Ceballo, a former member of Buena Vista Social Club, a famous Cuban band.
The frontman of Pendofsky, Marcin Pendowski, is the author of music for “Solidarity. The Beginning of the Revolution” , the first Polish documentary for Dicovery Channel. Pendowski is also the laureate of the most significant Polish music award – “Fryderyk” which he was awarded as a member of the band Fisz Emade Tworzywo. The artist has experience of cooperating with many grand names in the world of music and jazz, such as: Kuba Stankiewicz, Grzegorz Nagórski, Elaine Simpson, Valerie Scott, Piotr Baron, Henryk Miśkiewicz, Monika Borzym, Milo Kurtis.
Pendowski apart from his solo project – Pendofsky is an active member of Fisz Emade Tworzywo, and writes for the Polish Bass Player Magazine, where he tests bass guitar gear. You can also see him perform on his own Youtube channel.
Pendowski performed about 90 performances within a single year. These performances included the biggest Polish scenes. Marcin Pendowski recorded around 20 longplay albums with various Polish top-grade artists. He is the author of the soundtrack for “Solidarity. The Beginning of The Revolution”, the first Polish production for Discovery Channel. He is Currently is working on his second solo album, which will be released in spring 2017.
