Renée Allen - Salonmusik für Waldhorn (2020)

Played on historical instruments, Schumann's "Adagio and Allegro" is accompanied by first recordings of unknown romantic composers from a collection of the A. E. Fischer Verlag, Bremen, which was lost in the Second World War.

The varied programme transports the listener to the German salons of the late 19th century. The piano forms flowing transitions to the valve and natural horn repertoire with short preludes.

The beautifully designed, informative booklet with many illustrations gives music-historically researched insights into the flourishing music world of Bremen at that time.
