Itsu - HAR1 (2020)

Every creature on Earth has a common ancestor, known as LUCA (last universal common ancestor). Through the course of evolution this basic creature sprouted gradually more and more advanced lifeforms, creating the biological variety of today, topped by the humans in the end. Our ancestors evolved into their modern iteration thanks to a HAR1 gene, which is present in all mammals on Earth, but developed more rapidly in humans. The mere existence of men changed the course of our planet's history. Humans built civilizations of millions, obtained control over the whole world, and lost that control. In our relatively short time on the planet, we have done and still do irreversible damage to the environment, which will lead to catastrophes on a global scale sooner or later, which will wipe out every living thing.
HAR 1 is an attempt to recreate such tragic end of Earth, and a reminder of this global problem.
