In 1906, the year that saw the first performance of his third symphony, Joseph-Guy Ropartz had been head of the conservatory and the orchestra of Nancy for twelve years. He brought to them a new dynamism centred on the rediscovery of the great works of French composers. Hence, he was inspired and influence by the works of Chausson, Debussy, Franck and Ravel.

This may be not so fragrant as Michel Plasson but fresh and beautiful with excellent sound :)
