The Stargazer Lilies - Lost (2017)

Based out of northern Pennsylvania and specializing in an intoxicating blend of Slowdive/My Bloody Valentine-era shoegaze and plaintive electro-ambient indie pop, Stargazer Lilies pride themselves on bringing back "the raw rock primal gaze, no bullshit sunshine haze." Formed by multi-instrumentalists and ex-Soundpool members John Ceparano and Kim Field, along with live drummers EJ DeCoske and Johnny Lancia, the band released its Tobacco-of-Black Moth Super Rainbow-curated, Graveface Records-issued debut, We Are the Dreamers, in fall 2013. Following the departure of both DeCoske and Lancia, Stargazer Lilies recruited L.A.-based Tammy Hirata (Blood Candy) as their new drummer. With this new lineup, they completed work on their follow-up LP, Door to the Sun, which arrived in June 2016. An album of outtakes titled Lost followed in 2017. ~ James Christopher Monger.
