After the release of his first album “Signs” including his epic version of “Down Payment Blues” (AC/DC), Phil Manca is coming back with a brand-new explosive album “Dancing Spirits” mixing heavy blues-rock flirting with heavy metal (available in Dec 2020).
From his hard-rock roots in the early 80’s to his latest productions, Phil (born in Paris-France) has always combined his talent as a guitarist and a song-writer. While he has collaborated with many bands and musical projects -the most significant to date stays ERA's first album (7 million copies sold over the world)- and several film soundtracks; he wrote and produced an ambitious rock-opera called "Ypse" and above all the musical "Jack et le haricot magique", a successful rock musical for children inspired by the story of Jack and the beanstalk (Olympia, Casino de Paris, 10 years on tour). Recently he payed a tribute to Gary Moore for nearly 2 years until he decided to record his own blues-rock material.
Today he's therefore back to his musical roots, “the music for what the electric guitar was created”.
“Phil Manca's outbursts on his Lespaul are thrilling because he fluidly mixes up his past as a guitar hero, the feeling of his lifelong idols (Clapton, Moore, Schenker, Gallagher or Jeff Beck) and his own ingredients that remind us that the guitar still has the power to move people in 2020.” Ch.
