The earlier albums ONYX4170 (Nos.9 ‘Kreutzer’ & 6) and ONYX4177 (Nos.1-3, Variations WoO40) received outstanding reviews. On this new album the dramatic 7th Sonata of 1802 is paired with the serene 10th. composed in 1812 for the great violinist Pierre Rode.
