"The initial years of Lettuce playing music together were always pure joy and mostly improvisational funk. It was hours and hours of one simple groove, perfecting the locking of the pocket and the love for each other as the function and part of each instrument was discovered, defined and refined with help from each of our individual and collective knowledge.

Diving into the unknown is exciting, especially when everyone is in a heightened listening zone and in touch with each other's rhythmic pocket. This 40+ minute piece of 100% pure improvisation was captured beautifully on tape at Colorado Sound in Denver."
