Mauricio Smith - Machito Presents Fluta Nova (2020)

Mr. Smith was a brilliant musician with many stints with many major combos. Most noteworthy were Mongo Santamaria, and in the bands of Tito Rodriguez, Eddie Palmieri, Mario Bauza, Willie Colon and many years on the SNL band. He played with Machito, Dizzy and on and on...Flute was his chosen recording medium, but he was multi-instrumentalist who could play just about any and everything. Great album from a gifted virtuoso!
