The title of the album of the singer-songwriter from Berlin says it all: "Sesel" according to Bergitta Victor nothing more and nothing less than an "ode to my home country, the Seychelles”, a small paradise, located in East Africa, north of Madagascar. The words "Ode to the home" is found in two songs, the title song "Sesel" and "Donn li s rev” written by Bergittas uncle Patrick Victor. These songs are sung in Seselwa (this language is often described as "Creole" means). "Donn li s rev” means "Give him a dream," and describes the poverty of children who live on the streets. The album "Sesel" reflects in all aspects the versatility of the artist. Bergitta is not only singing in German, English and Seselwa, she also feels in various genres at home. From calypso rhythms to funk beat, the little woman with the big Afro and the even bigger, massive voice has a tremendous energy live and also on CD. Her performances verifying stage presence, humour and the ability to carry away the audience. One time her music grooves and swings in a jazzy way, then briefly touches funk and black music, and then smooth and cuddly bask in a mellow mood. Shortly, Bergitta Victor can do everything. And she wants to experiment, always looking for the new. She succeeds the seamless integration of German-language songs in its diverse program; Victor celebrates itself as emotionally texts as the song "Berühr mich”. That she will continue to remain in motion she expresses quite so succinctly: "I can`t and I will not commit myself!" And that would be even somehow pity because of this enormous talent…
