Aside from the seamlessly brilliant, and unfortunately out-of-print "Nico: Behind The Iron Curtain" live double lp, NICO - LIVE IN TOKYO is the most breathtaking of her numerous concert recordings. The improvisational nature of her ensemble can be hit and miss, but here, like a stunning miracle their arrangements congeal and click on virtually every song. Nico's pitch and timbre, (which can also waver in the live setting) is beautiful throughout. Determined and clear as cathedral bells.
