The most amazing track on this album, Closer to the Moon, is
"Beethoven's Piano Sonata No.8 'Pathetique'", an organ driven modern take on Beethoven's Piano Sonato No. 8, it's absolutely brilliant, yeah, the organ is front and centre, and of course the organ has its spotlight moments on some of the other tracks as well, its the James Taylor Quartet after all. This album is very diverse, lots to like, lots of different tracks, each one bursting with creativity and great lush sound production. It doesn't stay in its acid jazz groove but grooves outside the lines and colors some heavenly sounds you may get hooked on.
