This is dynamic, melodic jazz featuring performances from an amazing cast of all-stars. At the root of it all are multi-instrumentalist Doug Robinson's smart and sassy compositions. Though it's far from derivative, you'll find energy similar to the work of Flim and the BBs, Pat Metheny, Weather Report, Michel Colombier and the late Don Grolnick's classic album, Hearts and Numbers.

SitJazzDown features knockout performances by drummer Peter Erskine (Weather Report, Steely Dan), bassist Dave Carpenter (Dave Grusin), saxophonist Bob Sheppard (Rickie Lee Jones) and guitarists Mike Miller and Peter Sprague (Chick Corea). Throughout it all, Doug Robinson is featured on piano, Hammond B3, vibes and, on the final track, a drum duel with Erskine.
