The former A&M Recording Artist is a prolific songwriter who pens moving, soulful, rock, pop and reggae-influenced songs with infectious hooks that emerge as the tastiest of Bluesy Rock-N-Roll! Willie and the boys, Willie Phoenix & The Soul Underground (formerly Blues Hippy And The Soul Underground), have opened for many national acts (and from coast-to-coast), including J Roddy Walston and The Business, The Ramones, The Raspberries, Joan Jett, Buddy Guy, John Lee Hooker, Tinsley Ellis, Buckwheat Zydeco, Joan Armatrading, Maria McKee, Bryan Adams (and many more) and routinely plays the likes of the LC Pavilion and the Newport Music Hall several times a year!
