Saxophonist, composer, arranger and multi-instrumentalist, Alfonso Deidda, will be releasing his debut album as a leader, produced by Jando Music and Via Veneto Jazz, in February 2015. Spontaneous and unpredictable, yet focused and highly melodic, the repertoire is composed of well-conceived, original jazz songs with underlying contemporary grooves - ranging from Latin, European jazz, to free, and funk - where the interplay between musicians is intimate and technically brilliant, resulting in engaging sound textures that are creatively out of the ordinary; vibrant with emotional tension. The band consists of some of the most talented musicians, each a master of his instrument, manifesting emotional connection and seamlessly blending with the solo parts: internationally-renowned Anglo-Italian pianist, Julian O. Mazzariello, the extraordinarily original drummer Alessandro Paternesi, and Dario Deidda, acclaimed as one of the best contemporary musicians and virtuoso of the electric bass and double bass. Last but not least, is the exceptional presence of an outstanding soloist and celebrated trumpet player on the national and international music scene: Fabrizio Bosso. Few are gifted with all the virtuosity, technical skill and extraordinary ability to wring such genuine emotional excitement, rendering the overall sound unique and enthralling.
