Cuts like the opening track (titled, confusingly enough, "Auto Salvage") show the band at their best -- strong melody, airy harmonies, a churning psychedelic arrangement. They didn't live up to that potential often on their only album, which is saddled by a fair amount of mediocre and rambling material. The British reissue adds informative historical liner notes.
