BEHIND THE SCORE
We jumped in head-first into this fascinating “based on true events” two-handed story that Writer/Director Tiller Russell described as “two rockets heading toward each other.” The music is set in the computer-tech world, but had to be wild and unhinged much of the time. This created interesting dynamics and experiments in how far modern arpeggio-based music can be pushed to feel wild and out-of-control. We had to break out of the typical ‘on-the-grid’ style of electronic music in order to follow the development of the characters and arc of the story. This marked our second collaboration with editor Greg O’Bryant.
