Fabrizio "Fred" Buccini is a Roman jazz polymath, accomplished as a pianist, saxophonist and arranger, who along with Italian author and producer Nerio Poggi has created a loving tribute to a titan of vocal jazz, Nat King Cole. Greats like "Unbelievable", "Straighten Up And Fly Right" and "Let There Be Love" get a wonderfully smooth going over, with crisply produced drums, jazz guitars and soft brass and strings filling out the space nicely. Definitely make an immediate beeline for one of Nat's greatest, "L.O.V.E", here delivered in a Django-esque gypsy style with help from singer Ely Bruna.
