Issued in 1969 by Doctor Bird Recordsearly on the companys Pyramid subsidiary, Israelites came hot on the heels of Desmond Dekkers international smash hit of the same name.

Such was the extent of Dekkers global success, the album was licensed to companies around the world, seeing issue on a variety of different imprints and with a diverse array of sleeve designs. Yet despite the popularity of the LP, ithas remained unavailable since its original release, almost half a century ago. Now at long last, reggae fans can once again own a brand new copy of this hugely popular and significant album.
