This intimate album mixes moog synthesizer with harps and tone generators to produce a beguilingly intimate album. The music started from reflecting on ideas of loss, the nature of feeling lost and of losing something, whether a faculty such as memory or speech, or of losing understanding of where we are and who we are - geographically, politically and morally - in this bewildering world of ours. The music is often dark and mesmeric. Intricate rhythmic patterns build and morph to climaxes, moments of affirmation juxtapose with stripped away sound worlds leaving the listener in a bare new world divested of frippery. Ruth Wall performs on concert harp, wire strung harp and autoharp. Graham Fitkin performs on moog, rhodes and red box tone genertator. FitkinWall have collaborated closely for years but individually work in various ways. Ruth has performed with musicians such as Goldfrapp, John Lunn, Will Gregory Moog Ensemble, BBC Orchestras, Kathryn Tickell, Nolwenn Leroy whilst featuring on music for films such as Ben Wheatley's 'Sightseers' and BBC's "The White Queen'. Graham has composed for Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, New York City Ballet, BBC Proms, ROH, Yo-Yo Ma and many others.
