This obscure LP finds Bingo Miki's Inner Galaxy Orchestra of Japan (whose personnel is mostly unidentified) welcoming four guests (who are featured individually) during a concert at the 1979 Montreux Jazz Festival. Guitarist Joe Beck, valve trombonist Bob Brookmeyer, trumpeter Jon Faddis and bassist Richard Davis are showcased on one lengthy selection apiece. In addition the orchestra is well-featured (with Hidehiko Matsumoto heard on tenor and flute) on "Cyclone from the East." This album is not an essential acquisition but the music is well-played.Title: In Concert / Montreux '79
