An excellent soundtrack for an excellent movie. The movie itself is a story of somber triumph of the human spirit in the face of the grave evil of Nazism. The soundtrack captures this with a haunting beauty. It is a fittingly low-keyed score, but still beautiful. To me it pays tribute to the characters. The final track, Jan Returns, is the best, and gives a nice upbeat ending. If you like John Williams score for The Book Thief, you will like this score from Gregson-Williams.
