Vetle Aakre Laupsa has almost grown up on the St. Croix house. Ever since primary school age, he has participated in various courses and activities under the auspices of the St. Croix House, but also apprenticed with bassist Kristian Torp at Rockeværste from the age of 12 to upper secondary school. Now Vetle returns to Fredrikstad and the St. Croix house to celebrate the release of their debut album with the band Laupsa Lokomotiv.
Laupsa Lokomotiv's debut album “Reach” will show a range of musicality, inspiration and composition, open to the abilities of the participating musicians and aims to take its place among recordings of modern, acoustic jazz in Norway. Through her work as a musician and listener, Vetle Aakre Laupsa has found her ideal in terms of sound and composition, which has strong roots in the acoustic sound of instruments and spaces, a desire to tell stories and a strong artistic intuition.
