Marcan Liav - Sanctuary (2021)

Born and raised in the South of France Marcan Liav was hooked on music from a young age influenced by Eric Serra's classic movie "The Big Blue" along with it's soundtrack in the 80s, he also drew inspiration from the likes of Massive Attack, Jay Jay Johanson, Archive and Cliff Martinez. He emerged into the production arena in December 2019 here on Stripped Recordings with his well received debut ep aptly entitled "Debut" The EP spawned a two part remix release of the track "Botura"

Throughout 2020 and the seemingly endless lockdowns and the restrictions the pandemic brought with it, Marcan set about using his time wisely and set about working on his first long player which is a twelve track labour of love awash with downtempo electronic grooves, grand soundcsapes, ethereal vocals, and some melodic organic house and techno vibes thrown in for good measure. He's named the album "Sanctuary" and we are pleased to showcasing it here on Stripped Recordings.
