Over the years D.S. Wilson has played and released music in various genres including rock, pop and blues, but today is laser-focused on combining his past with his present and bringing forth a wonderful evolution to the smooth jazz realm.
After his first solo effort (soft rock album Save Me in 2008), his 2018 album Stella Rose has become the launching pad for his solo career in contemporary jazz and is set to be followed in 2021 by the exciting new album Saxuality.
Several advance singles from the album have been picked up by multiple notable Spotify playlists such as the “New Jazz” playlist by curator Mariano Lorenzo who said “Excellent track, with great handling of the speed and power of the track. With quality and feeling but with power and rhythm. The saxophone is the most outstanding but perfectly accompanied by the rest. Clearly it does not have a single musical style but it is a great fusion of many.”
