Here’s a richly pastoraled album of jazz chamber with the trio of Fabian Kallerdahl/p-synth, Josef Kallerdahl/b and Michael Edlund/dr with guests Nils Berg/bcl-fl and Samuel Runsteen/vi on six lovely originals. The mix of flute and bass clarinet make for some rich harmonies as on the delicately pretty “Real Estate” and dreamy “Perfect Nostalgia” with Kallerdahl providing floating work on “Lifestyle”. The strings team well with the clickety clack of the pulse during “Location Location Location” and the rhythm digs in well as the woodwinds jostle on “Satisfaction.” A nice chamber of sounds.
